The Origin of Apollo

Team Identity & History

As students representing Greece on the international STEM Racing stage, we wanted a name that reflects both our national heritage and our vision for the future. Tracing its roots all the way back to ancient Greek mythology, Apollo takes inspiration from God Apollo, resembling light, knowledge, precision and harmony between the three collaborating teams. As students representing Greece, we aspire to showcase both our rich heritage and our vision for the future, in a relentless pursuit of perfection.

Our Vision: To revive and celebrate the Greek tradition of scientific innovation, proving that young minds from Greece can excel at the absolute pinnacle of international STEM competitions while inspiring the next generation of engineers and entrepreneurs.

Our Mission: In Apollo racing, unlike in no other competitive team, we have set ourselves certain goals and are determined to pursue them with focus and ambition. Having four Greek teams in the World Finals pushes us to our limits, waking up the benign competition side of us, while we are determined to come in first place regarding the competitors from our home country. Moreover, having understood that we work really well as a group and consist of high quality and performance individuals in every department, we have decided that a realistic goal could be reaching the top 20 teams in the competition. Even though these milestones seem somewhat far from reach, as Greeks, we have the mentality of never giving up and chasing our goals until the very last moment. These goals are strongly connected to our core values and team, as excellence is one of the our top priorities and what we are aspiring to achieve the most.
