Apollo Stem Racing (“Apollo Stem Racing,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a student engineering team representing Greece in the international STEM Racing competition. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you visit apollostemracing.com (the “Site”).

b) Information about team members
As a student team, we may publish first names, roles/positions, and photos of our team members on pages such as “Our Team.” Where a team member is a minor, this information is published with the consent of the student and, where applicable, their parent/guardian and school. If you are a team member or a parent/guardian and would like information removed or corrected, contact us at [email protected].
c) Information about supporters and sponsors
If your organization is listed as a supporter or sponsor, we publish your organization’s name, logo, and (if provided) a link to your website, based on your agreement with us.
d) Analytics information
We use BuddyStat, a privacy-first analytics service, to understand how visitors use our Site. BuddyStat is designed to operate without tracking cookies and without collecting personally identifiable information. It may collect aggregate, non-identifying information such as:
- Pages visited and time spent on the Site
- Referring website or source
- General device/browser type
- Approximate country/region (not precise location)
- Site performance metrics (e.g., load times)

e) Information we do not collect
We do not operate a store, do not process payments through the Site, and do not require visitors to create an account.
3. How We Use Information
We use the information described above to:
- Respond to inquiries sent to [email protected]
- Present our team, our project, and our supporters on the Site
- Understand and improve how visitors use the Site (via BuddyStat analytics)
- Communicate with sponsors/supporters regarding our partnership
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
4. Legal Basis for Processing (EU/EEA Visitors)
Where the GDPR applies, we process personal data on the following bases:
- Consent — for information you voluntarily provide (e.g., contacting us, or a student/parent consenting to publish team member details).

5. Children’s Information
Apollo Stem Racing is a student team, and some of our members may be minors. We are mindful of this and:
- Do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children through the Site (e.g., there is no public sign-up form aimed at students).
- Only publish minors’ names, roles, or photos with appropriate consent from the student and their parent/guardian.

- BuddyStat, as our analytics provider, to the extent described above and in our Cookie & Analytics Policy.
- Our website developer/host (GNRS.gr), solely to operate and maintain the Site.
- Service providers who help us operate the Site (e.g., hosting, security/CDN services such as Cloudflare), acting on our instructions.
We do not sell or rent personal information to third parties.
7. Data Retention
We retain:
- Contact/inquiry information for as long as needed to respond and maintain a reasonable record, then delete it.
- Team member and supporter information for as long as it is relevant to the current or archived team roster (see our Legacy page), or until removal is requested.
- Analytics data per BuddyStat’s retention settings.
8. Your Rights
If the GDPR or another applicable privacy law gives you rights over your personal data, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction or deletion
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Withdraw consent at any time (where processing is based on consent)
